Why Chardonnay? Why Not Chardonnay!

5 Years ago saw the ABC boom – Anything But Chardonnay – there was just too much oak in the bottle.  Dawid tastes examples from Australia, South Africa and France to see whether they have learnt their lesson.  Things seem to have changed to WNC – Why Not Chardonnay!

Food suggestions:

2006 Cave de Lugny from Burgundy, France – An affordable Chardonnay from a superb wine making region – enjoy with deep fried oysters.  All it takes is a dip in tempura batter, a quick deep fry in oil and serve with soy and ginger sauce – delicious.

Chardonnay, NV Sainsbury’s Own, Australia – goes well with chicken.

Chardonnay, Spier, Stellenbosch, South Africa, 2007 – try it with chargrilled squid stuffed with feta cheese & coconut sauce.
